I say yes straight away and push through, this could help me get ahead or be seen as dependable
I say yes and quietly reorganise my workload, even if it means working longer or later. I don’t want to seem difficult
I say yes, but immediately start adjusting priorities and making sure everyone else is still supported and informed.

I stay late and keep going until everything feels properly finished. I struggle to stop otherwise.
I keep checking things for others before I leave, just in case someone needs me.
I stay on to finish things properly or to make sure nothing is left for others to pick up.
I log off, but I can’t switch off mentally and keep thinking about everything I might have missed.

I fix it myself, it’s quicker and I trust myself to do it properly anyway.
I adjust quickly and smooth things over so nothing escalates or causes tension.
